About the Lodge
mBabala means Bushbuck and represents at this lodge – peace, beauty, tranquillity and privacy.
This luxury family lodge stands steadfast amongst enormous Leadwood, Acacia and Ana trees on the banks of the Limpopo River. Located right across the Botswana Tuli Block on the Limpopo River, this lodge offers intimate living in five en-suite chalets – all with air-conditioning. The panoramic views over the tree forest and a secluded water hole is superb. One of the camp’s special features is the raised lounge and bar complex overlooking the Limpopo River flood plain.
Babala is a self-catering lodge and has a fully equipped kitchen and boma with all the luxuries you would find in a suburban home. Once reserved the lodge is allocated to you personally – no other guests.
Activities revolve around the area’s magnificent scenery, photographic opportunities, game- and bird watching, simply relaxing around the pool and the spectacular beauty of the Limpopo River frontage. Open safari vehicles take guests on early-morning and evening drives; and boating excursions onto the breathtaking Mogolo/Limpopo Rivers set out from Twin River Lodge.
